FEE STRUCTURE
Patients attending under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) are required to pay a gap fee, as sessions are not bulk billed to Medicare. Fees are reviewed annually and typically increase by approximately $8–12 from 1 July. The current Australian Psychological Society (APS) National Schedule of Recommended Fees from 1 July 2026 is $326 per session. Dr Leah offers two fee structures, including reduced fees for clients who hold a current and valid concession card (e.g. Disability Support Pension, Age Pension, or Health Care Card).
Medicare rebates are processed once payment has been received. Medicare does not permit payment of the gap fee only; full payment of the session fee is required within 48 hours of your appointment. Fees for patients attending under approved third-party funding arrangements (e.g. WorkCover, AFL, or other agencies) are managed directly with the relevant organisation.
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge when at least 24 hours' notice is provided. Dr Leah understands that illness and unforeseen circumstances can arise and will extend reasonable flexibility wherever possible. However, failure to attend a confirmed appointment without notice, or repeated late cancellations, may result in the full session fee being charged. Please note that Medicare rebates do not apply to cancellation or non-attendance fees.
